Early election campaign in Suharekë/Suva Reka

(KTV)

Suharekë/Suva Reka resembles a town which is in the peak of election campaign; although three months are left to holding of the local elections. Slogans put by the party in power AAK that depict fulfilled promises, are considered as illegal and as abuse of power by the opposition party LDK.

According to LDK, the slogans have been produced with citizens’ funds. The mayor of Suharekë/Suva Reka Blerim Kuçi does not deny this, saying that this is a way of presenting his work. However, Kuçi thinks this is not an election campaign.

Citizens have different opinions with regard to this issue.

Bukoshi to support LDK in elections

(Klan Kosova, TV21)

One of the founders of Ibrahim Rugova List, Bujar Bukoshi, has decided to support LDK in the autumn local elections and in parliamentary elections expected to take place next year. Regardless the fact that he is in the current governing coalition with PDK, Bukoshi said he would support the party which is led by his friend, Isa Mustafa. “Our wish is that LDK wins all municipalities in the elections,” Mr Bukoshi told Express.

PDK MP Berat Buzhala reacted to Bukoshi’s statement. Buzhala, who is known for his controversial statements, said that had he been Kosovo’s Prime Minister, he would immediately terminate the agreement with the so-called Rugova List.

Responding to Bukoshi’s statement, LDK MP Armend Zemaj said that any cooperation was welcomed, but Bukoshi’s List does not have any great power.
