The paper claims that although yesterday’s debate at the Kosovo Assembly about the situation at the University of Pristina failed to produce any concrete results, it did reconfirm that politics has degraded the University.
This is the point where politicians should begin to reflect. It is not the job of politics to choose rectors, deans, and professors but the mission of politics is to fund education and science, research and emancipation of a society.
It is precisely the political militants that have degraded learning institutions and a great deal of effort is required to bring education sector in the right path. No magic formula is needed except for implementation of laws, criteria, standards, and procedures, says the paper.
