Kingdom of Lesotho recognizes Kosovo (Koha)

Kosovo has been recognized today by the Kingdom of Lesotho. The decision was confirmed to the Kosovo Foreign Minister, Enver Hoxhaj, from his Lesothian counterpart, KTV reported.

“Recognition’s note verbale is expected to arrive within the week,” said Hoxhaj’s media advisor, Bashmir Xhemaj.

At the same time, the recognition was also confirmed by Minister Hoxhaj on his Facebook profile.

“Few minutes ago I received confirmation about the newest recognition of Kosovo from the country of Lesotho. I thanked Lesotho’s Foreign Minister, Mohlabi Tsekoa, for the decision. We now have 106 countries that have recognized independence of Kosovo. Congratulations!”, wrote Hoxhaj.

The news of the 106th recognition for the state of Kosovo was also hailed by Prime Minister, Hashim Thaci.

“I was just informed that the Kingdom of Lesotho, in southern Africa, has recognized Kosovo. There are now 106 countries that have recognized our independent and sovereign Republic. A great present for the week that marks 6 years of the state,” wrote Thaci on Facebook.
