On 5 December, UNMIK Deputy SRSG Robert Sorenson visited the municipality of Gračanica/Graçanicë where, along with mayor Bojan Stojanovic, he announced to media that items will be donated to the community.
“It is my pleasure to be here today. It is particularly an opportunity to bring some donations to the municipality of Gračanica/Graçanicë that can be used by kindergartens, by the municipality, by an IDP center, as well as an agricultural cooperative,” said DSRSG Robert Sorenson.
Along with a vehicle, one dozen computers have been donated to the municipality.
“These donations are items that have been previously used by UNMIK will but no longer are required for our use. Nevertheless, I think they have many more years of usefulness and I’m sure they will be put to good use here in Gračanica/Graçanicë” added Mr. Sorenson, who was presented with a plaque as a display of gratitude for UNMIK’s generosity for the donation.
Mr. Sorenson later met with the mayor to sign the hand-over papers and further discuss the current events in the municipality.
