Hashim Thaci, the outgoing Prime Minister of Kosovo and leader of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), wrote in his Facebook profile that Thursday’s decisions at the Assembly of Kosovo, which derived from an illegal, anti-democratic and anti-constitutional process are invalid and equal to a big null. “Yesterday we saw demeaning scenes for Kosovo’s democracy, induced by political leaders who never in their lives won any elections during the 15 years of free Kosovo. The loosing parties of 8 June, in contradiction with the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo, laws in power and Assembly regulation as well as in contradiction with the will and verdict of the citizens of the country, violated the highest institution of the country, by transforming it into an arena of arbitrary imposture of fancies.

“PDK, considers the decisions made by usurpers of yesterday’s constitutive session as unlawful and invalid, by expressing its position that decisions deriving from an antidemocratic, illegal and unconstitutional process are invalid and equal to a big null.

We will address the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Kosovo regarding the violent developments at the Assembly of Kosovo and request reestablishment of legality and legitimacy at this institution.

We have pledged to remain calm towards these unprecedented and amateur developments. Believe in the state that we have built together and on democratic and legal functioning of the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo,” wrote Thaci.
