Kosovo Prime Minister Hashim Thaçi has reacted against EU’s decision to not launch negotiations with Kosovo for the Stabilization/Association Agreement, without meeting several criteria. Thaçi said the European Union was running late in Kosovo’s case and that the latter is a victim of lack of European unity.
“The deficiency is in Brussels – their lack of unity over Kosovo’s political status. I think this negative prejudice on Kosovo in Brussels needs to be overcome. Such a prejudice by Brussels is disappointing for Kosovo’s citizens,” Thaçi said. He called on EU member states to stop drawing parallels between Kosovo’s future and Serbia’s European future.
