Flaka Surroi, publicist and owner of Koha Group, writes that there is very little enthusiasm among the citizens, for the new government of Kosovo. Instead of improving the image of Kosovo as needed, especially after Marty and Williamson, Kosovo has gone public with a new face, but “a face out of darkness”, argues Surroi. According to her, the word “Minister” has now become synonymous with maximum political aspiration in Kosovo.
“The only good news from all this ‘political training’ that lasted six months, is that next week, the parliament will vote the draft law on budget for 2015. If anyone still has any doubts – let’s ask the business community. They will tell that Kosovo is in a total financial collapse and is surprising how everyone has not been bankrupt yet,” writes Surroi.
Further on, Surroi writes that the selection of ministers was very disappointing. Surroi notes that this government has brought Kosovo a big room of men, in which there are very few new faces. From half of the population, only to women allegedly “deserved” to become members of the cabinet. “So, little change in the executive level in a country where every day, except December 9 (which is the International Anti-Corruption Day), is a day of corruption,” concludes Surroi.
