“North Mitrovica Municipality, practically, doesn’t exist,” said the head of Administrative Office in North Mitrovica, Adrijana Hodzic, in a TV Center’s show ‘Dogovor’ (Agreement), and added that there are no parallel institutions in northern Kosovo, and that they never used to exist.

“There is Goran Rakic, his deputy, but there is no North Mitrovica Municipality yet. What currently exists, as an executive body, is Administrative Office,” explained Hodzic, and added that it is wrong to say that there are several local self-governments in North Mitrovica.

“We have the mayor, we have a municipal institution, Administrative Office which offers services from the Kosovo system and we have provisional body which offers services from the Serbian system. There were never any parallel institutions, and there are no parallel institutions now in northern Kosovo. We only have institutions that offer services from two different systems, and that is something what citizens want and what they need,” stressed Hodzic.
