Serbian national forum (SNF) presented at a round table the draft platform which identified the major strategic issues for the Serbian community in Kosovo. They believe that solving these problems is necessary for the survival of Serbs in Kosovo and invite Serbian institutions to do more. The sale and confiscation of property owned by Serbs, Trepca, Gazivode, Brezovica are strategic issues listed in the draft platform of SNF.
Aleksandar Đikić, president of the SNF says that the seizure of private and public property become systematic and institutionalized. “The most recent example is the privatization, or lease for 99 years, of Brezovica Ski center, which can easily lead to disturbances in the ethnic structure of the region,” said Đikić.
In regards to the announced protest in Pristina, members of SNF decided to send an appeal to international factors, which would express the concern, reminding on previous experiences from 17 March 2004. They believe that Belgrade is willing and able to solve all these problems, but it is a necessary strategy that Serbia doesn’t have.
