President of Kosovo Atifete Jahjaga convened a meeting today of the National Council for Survivors of Sexual Violence during the War in an effort to finalise the regulation for verification of the status of victims of sexual violence. Jahjaga said the recognition of the status of victims is an important step forward and urged the government of Kosovo to set up a relevant commission as soon as possible. To this, Minister of Labour and Social Welfare, Arban Abrashi, said the commission will be established soon and the verification process will begin this year.
