The leader of the Serbian List Aleksandar Jablanović yesterday stated that negotiation process between Belgrade and Pristina must not be jeopardized, and voiced hope that European Union will realize where the obstruction of the Brussels dialogue is coming from.

Jablanović said that it is quite normal in any negotiations between two opposed sides, that agreement is not always reached, however negotiation process should not be jeopardized after the last round of negotiations between Belgrade and Pristina in Brussels.

“The goal of these negotiations is approximation of stands of the two sides, what is not easy sometimes. Negotiations are entering into a complicating phase when very important issues are on the table, which will determine the future of certain institutions in Kosovo and Metohija, and future of the Serbs in this region,” said Jablanović.

He went on to say that one should not wonder that last round of negotiations in Brussels between Belgrade and Pristina didn’t yield any results, since negotiators went there to talk not to agree.
“The agreement will follow, some agreements require more time, and will is needed for all agreements. At the last round of negotiations it turned out that Pristina didn’t have the will like Belgrade to resolve problems and open issues,” said Jablanović.

He voiced expectation that Pristina will mitigate its position in future and that it will be more constructive.
