Leaders of opposition parties to meet again for the Special Court

(KTV)

Return of constitutional amendments that open way to Special Court to re-voting will not be easy at all for the Government, as the opposition parties will start to think of the ways for not allowing this to happen.

Vetëvendosje Movement caucus leader, Glauk Konjfuca, confirmed that two meetings regarding this issue will be held together with the leaders of other opposition parties.

According to AAK, re-proceeding of these amendments is also the end of democracy in the country, as the Assembly has once given its say regarding this issue.

Konjufca considers the pressure that PDK leader, Hashim Thaçi, is putting on his MPs as a constitutional violation.

According to him, in case these amendments will be returned to voting, the Assembly will have no reason to exist further.

Stojanovic: Srpska will vote Special Court constitutional amendments, not KAF

(RTK2, Klan Kosova)

Deputy Prime Minister Branimir Stojanovic announced that Srpska List will vote the constitutional amendments that open way to Special Court establishment. However, according to him, Srpska List MPs will vote against establishment of Kosovo Armed Forces.

Stojanovic said that these are their stances regarding the existing proposals for amendments.

Jevtic: Haxhiu violated the Law on Use of Languages

(Most monitored broadcasters, Klan Kosova)

Minister for Communities and Returns, Dalibor Jevtic, has reacted against Monday’s request of Vetëvendosje MP and chairperson of the Assembly legislation committee, Albulena Haxhiu, in relation to a document sent by the Ministry of Communities and Returns containing letters in Cyrillic alphabet.

Through a press statement issued, Jevtic said that this is a violation of the Law on Use of Languages in Kosovo.

Jevtic said that he did not expect that an MP does not know fundamental human rights in Kosovo, such as the right to use their language and alphabet of a people. Jevtic said that Serbian language, along the Albanian one, should be equal anywhere in Kosovo.

He recommended to Haxhiu to look at her ID card, as, according to him, the answer regarding this issue lies in it.

Jevtic said that this is not the first time that members of the Serbian people, now and in this way, are threatened by members of the Vetëvendosje Movement.

In the meantime, Klan Kosova did not manage to get a comment from Albulena Haxhiu about Jevtic’s reaction.

(Most monitored broadcasters, Klan Kosova)

The older of the former Kosovo President Ibrahim Rugova, Mendim Rugova, has been appointed as the deputy minister of the Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning.

His appointment was made by Prime Minister Isa Mustafa as part of the new names of 21 ministers that joined the government cabinet.

The recently established party Fjala, which is led by Gëzim Kelmendi, reacted against these appointments. They call on Government to stop appointment of deputy ministers because, as they say, it has been proven that no deputy minister has played a productive role in different governments.

In the meantime, Klan Kosova sources said that reformatting of Kosovo Government is being planned to happen in September. These sources said that at least four ministers have not proved themselves successful.
