Cedomir Jovanovic, leader of the Liberal Democratic Party in Serbia, said in an interview for Croatian newspaper Vecernji List that if he were Prime Minister of Serbia he would recognize Kosovo’s independence. “The recognition [of Kosovo’s independence] should be seen as a tool to improve the position of the Serb community living there,” Jovanovic was quoted as saying.
