Deputy Chairperson of the Civic Initiative SDP, Ksenija Bozovic, stated today that Oliver Ivanović’s health is worsening after he went on hunger strike five days ago.

She said that SDP has no additional information about his health status, and that Ivanović’s friends and family are disappointed with the behavior of the court and EULEX officials who simply went silent and ignorant.

Civic Initiative SDP announced that they will forward official requests to all representatives of Serbs in Kosovo to join protests and support to Ivanović for being released from detention pending trial.

SDP stressed that they are particularly disappointed with the attitude of Serb representatives in Kosovo institutions, who at first extended support to Oliver Ivanović in achieving justice through hunger strike, but failed to appear the protests organized yesterday in front of EULEX headquarters in Pristina.

Civic Initiative leader Oliver Ivanović was arrested on 27 January last year under the war crimes charges.
