Kosovo’s Minister for Communities and Returns, Dalibor Jevtic, met today with the Minister of Justice, Hajredin Kuqi. The meeting of the two ministers was initiated by the Minister Jevtic, to seek support for the implementation of one of the findings of the regional initiative on the usurped properties. “Our goal is to see what can be improved in solving the problem of usurped property. It is not a matter only of Serbs but of all Kosovo citizens, and we have to solve it in the most efficient way possible,” Jevtic said. “I believe that the special department of the Court will deal with this matter and will contribute that the cases of usurped property to be resolved in the best and fastest way possible,” he added.

Kuci said that there are two authorities that deal with this issue: the Property Rights Agency and the Special Chamber of the court. “… But anyway Minister Jevtic has my full support in his efforts to more effectively solve the problem of usurped property, because everyone has the right and should be returned to their own property and live in it,” Kuci said. Both ministers agreed to jointly visit one of the villages and in this way provide support to the return process.
