During the sharp conflict with the opposition, Pristina authorities are trying in all possible ways to replace political misunderstandings with the announcement that at the end of the EU road, Belgrade will have to recognize independence of its province. That’s how Kosovo deputy FM Petrit Selimi tried to make political manoeuvre and stated for RTK2 that process of Kosovo recognition is one-way street, claiming that Serbia will be conditioned to recognize Kosovo independence.

Director of the Serbian Government Office for Kosovo, Marko Djuric in reaction to this statement said: “Political scene in the province is colorful. Nonsenses could be heard often, and it would be useless to comment repeated statements of provincial politicians. With the intention to present position of Kosovo in international community much brighter than it is in reality, Selimi stated that last year three countries recognized independence. The truth is that two countries recognized Kosovo independence, so that Selimi is imagining new recognitions in the African, Asian and South American countries,” said Djuric.
