Municipal branch of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) in North Mitrovica communicated yesterday that citizens have shown in elections held on Sunday that they are determined to stay in this town and in Kosovo and Metohija, and congratulated citizens on ‘huge and important victory in elections’.

“With more than 63% of votes won, you have shown your determination to stay and survive in our Kosovska Mitrovica and in Kosovo and Metohija. At the same time you have set an obligation on us, by bestowing your trust in us, for providing better living conditions in our town,” reads a communique released by the Chairperson of the SNS municipal branch, Goran Rakić.

SNS official and Director of the Serbian Government’s Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Marko Djuric, earlier stated that, according to the final party’s election results, the SNS has won 67,09 percent of votes in Kosovo and Metohija.
