Kosovo President Hashim Thaci met on Thursday Sweden’s Ambassador to Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, nonresident for Kosovo, Mats Staffansson. President Thaci said the entry into force of the Stabilisation and Association Agreement (SAA) has positively influenced the political dialogue within Kosovo, as all parties are participating in the discussion for the implementation of the SAA. “Now we expect recommendation for visa liberalization. The European Commission has confirmed that Kosovo has met all the criteria,” Thaci said, adding that his priorities will be the rule of law, economic development and democratic functioning of state institutions. On the other hand, Ambassador Staffansson congratulated Kosovo for overcoming the political tensions and added that the attention now must turn to strengthening Kosovo institutions.
