The international community in Kosovo, some Kosovo politicians condemned the events from Mušutište. The Serbian List pointed out that the events were organized. But nobody asks why Kosovo police did not prevent the violent protests, which have been announced through social networks and portals.

About 400 Albanians blocked the road in the village to prevent buses with the Serbs to pass towards the temple where was supposed to be served the liturgy on the occasion of the religious holiday. The police tried to intervene with tear gas; responses were insults and threats to Serbs, and rocks and bottles for police.

– We come because we know that we did not do any harm to anyone. From the media we have learned that they say we made crimes. So, for this are probably in charge competent institutions and therefore I urge them now to react. We will be persistent, and all those who accuse us, they will have to prove this before the court. We do not even deny that they have a right to protest, but not violently – told Vesti Milan Mihajlović, who organized the arrival of the Serbs to Mušutište.

The Serbs, however, believe that one of the motives of the entire protest is the fact that all the property of Serbs in the village is occupied, because out of the 20,000 hectares, 11,000 are owned by Serbian families.

They also state that during the protest, names of Serbian families were shown who are allowed to return to the village. The permission, otherwise, is obtained with the consent of the municipal management and local Albanians.
