MP of the Serbian List in the Kosovo Assembly Nenad Rašić says that relations between Albanians and Serbs in Kosovo have never been worse and it needs the help of the international community for the improvement, particularly of the EU in Kosovo but their representatives are completely passive in recent time.

Rašić says for Beta that the intolerance of representatives of Albanians and Serbs is present in Kosovo institutions, stating that “for such a state are responsible politicians, but also the international community.”

– For now I do not see any of the representatives of the international community that promotes multi-ethnicity which they have in their democracies. So, in this case, it is our responsibility, of Serbs and Albanians, but and the responsibility of the international representatives, especially the representatives of the EU in Kosovo – said Rašić.

Rašić says that the representatives of the EU in Kosovo, “are completely passive in recent time” and “they do not want to stand up for something that should be their responsibility, and that is, to stop harmful laws for any community or any nation in Kosovo “.

– For example, when recently in the Kosovo parliament were adopted laws on Trepča, the right to property and the other, for Serbs contested laws, representatives of the EU were quite passive, although in the processes of adoption of these laws there was a bit of law and more politics – said Rašić.

Rašić thinks that the role of the EU in Kosovo has reduced in an extreme manner, and this, he says,” does not go in favour of non-Albanians absolutely.”
