Slobodan Vujicic, head of the Association of Montenegrins in Kosovo, through a press statement said that Montenegro and Kosovo can make necessary adjustments to the agreement on border demarcation, adding that demarcation should not be an obstacle to process of visa liberalisation for Kosovo. “The good neighborly relations between Kosovo and Montenegro are at the highest level. We are convinced that Montenegro as a state has not been and will not be an obstacle to Kosovo’s visa liberalisation process. The agreement on border demarcation with Montenegro without any doubt will be ratified sooner or later. This position is based on the fact that Article 7 of the agreement allows that, under mutual agreement between the two countries, any necessary adjustments can be made. We call on the Prime Minister, President, Assembly Speaker and all the political leaders to as soon as possible harmonize their stances and organize a joint meeting and also invite the Montenegrin Commission on Borders. In this eventual meeting it is very important to focus and address the Article 7 mentioned above,” reads the statement.
