US Ambassador to Serbia Kyle Scott says that he does not believe that there will be major changes in relation to the Balkans due to the arrival of Donald Trump at the White House. He pointed out that the policy towards Kosovo will not change, as some hope in Serbia.

Answering the question of how the election of Donald Trump will affect the region, Scott said, at the working breakfast with representatives of the American Chamber of Commerce, that there is no easy answer, as the newly elected president during his campaign did not talk much about the region and that there is no way to predict what will happen.

“The fact that a change which occurred in the election, was well received here, means that it was believed that Hillary Clinton would continue to lead the current policy.  But we have no reason to believe that there will be great changes, because I’m a diplomat for 25 years and I’ve seen many transitions which is why I know that foreign policy of America almost never changes,” said the US Ambassador.
