Kosovo government spokesperson, Arban Abrashi, confirmed for the portal that the President of Kosovo Hashim Thaçi, will participate together with the Prime Minister Isa Mustafa, at the meeting that will be held on Tuesday in Brussels.

Bilal Sherifi, secretary of the Initiative for Kosovo (NISMA) said that the meeting called in Brussels proves that statements of the governing majority at Kosovo Assembly were only for daily political consumption. “The meeting called for Tuesday in Brussels proves that “threatening” debate against Serbia by the MPs of the majority at the session where the resolution for Ramush Haradinaj was supposed to be endorsed, was only made for daily political consumption,” Sherifi said.

According to him Thaçi’s participation proves that aggravation of the relations between Kosovo and Serbia had for intention to convey to Brussels the mesage that without Thaçi’s participation, nothing can move forward in the dialogue.

“Hashim Thaçi’s joining of these talks has only one intention: taking over the leading role in them,” Sherifi said.

He added that the real reasons for tensions between the two countries are slowly emerging.
