Independent Liberal Party (SLS) led by Slobodan Petrović and the Alliance of Kosovo Serbs led by the former Mayor of Graçanicë/Gračanica, Bojan Stojanović, signed today a memorandum of integration by which the two parties reunited. These two political options were one political party four years ago, and just before the last Kosovo local elections, Stojanović left the SLS and formed the Alliance of Kosovo Serbs. Memorandum of reunification was signed on 11th anniversary of SLS. “This is a good opportunity to announce that we will have more similar situations, where certain political groups will join our movement which is headed towards better tomorrow,” said the president of SLS, Slobodan Petrović. Petrović and Stojanović agreed that the “joint appearance on the political scene and the integration of the resources” in the political activities “is a necessity in efforts to raise the quality of life in all aspects”.

The former Mayor of Graçanicë/Gračanica, Bojan Stojanović, was asked whether today’s signing of the Memorandum is a beginning of the election campaign and is he going to be the candidate for a Mayor of Graçanicë/Gračanica on the next local elections, scheduled for November this year.”It’s not up to me, SLS will have political authorities, but if I have the support of people from the party, I can freely say the family, of course I’m ready to accept the responsibility.” Former members of the Independent Liberal Party and now members of “Srpska Lista” are Minister in the Kosovo government – Dalibor Jevtić, the Mayor of Štrpce/Shtërpcë – Bratislav Nikolić and Kosovo Assembly member – Nenad Rašić.
