High Representative for Foreign Policy of the European Union Federica Mogherini said she is encouraged by the constructive engagement of Belgrade and Prishtinë/Priština in a new round of dialogue and added that this process is important for the region and EU.
Federica Mogherini, in a statement after the meeting, stated that the commitment and political will, make a significant contribution to reducing tensions and that the future work will be continued in the same spirit.
“Dialogue is very important process for Serbia and Kosovo, but also for the region and the EU. Progress on the normalization of relations is essential for peace and progress towards the EU. This is crucial for Europe and regional stability,” Mogherini said.
All participants in the meeting, according to her, reiterated their full commitment to working together on a dialog.
“I would like to thank all participants, to presidents Thaci, Nikolic and Vucic for an open and constructive discussion we had,” Mogherini added that this meeting is a continuation of the dialogue from 24 of January.
Meeting of the delegation of Belgrade and Prishtinë/Priština ended last night just after 23:00 hrs, and the two delegations did not give a statement after the meeting.
