The support wall that was meant to be ordinary communal matter has been turned into an effort to destabilize the situation and cause clashes, claims the Head of the Provisional Body of Kosovska Mitrovica Municipality, Aleksandar Spirić.
“With the good political approach of the Serbian Government, and political representatives of Serbs from Kosovo and Metohija, a strong message has been sent that we are serious state, which did not allow that Serbs are jeopardized in the north of Kosovo and Metohija, or elsewhere in Kosovo and Metohija,” said Spirić through a statement. He added that demolition of the support wall has contributed to stability and to receiving guarantees for safety of residents in the north of Kosovo, which also presents a guarantee that no unilateral moves from Pristina would be possible.
