The Committee of the Assembly of Serbia for Kosovo and Metohija adopted yesterday a report on the work of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija for 2016, members of the committee from the ranks of the opposition had objections due to Đurić’s absence from the session.

The report was submitted by the Deputy Director Dušan Kozarev, who pointed out that the Serbian government has succeeded, through the operation of this Office to strengthen its presence in areas of Kosovo where Serbs are the majority, and that the operations took place in difficult conditions due to attempts of Pristina to undermine the unity of Serbs.

Member of the Committee Slaviša Ristić, protested over Đurić’s absence and reminded on Đurić’s statement given to RTS on 28 December, when he said that if Pristina authorities fail to meet their obligations until Sretenje relating to the creation of the Community/Association of Serb municipalities (ZSO), the Serbs would do it themselves.

He also asked Đurić whether in four municipalities in the north, from New Year, began with work the registry offices of the Pristina authorities.

Božidar Delić from the Serbian Radical Party pointed out that the report on the work of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija did not mention the Serbian Constitution and Resolution 1244, “which looks that does not exist for authorities in Serbia.”
Gordana Čomić from the Democratic Party said that the report of the Office did not mention one of the key things – cooperation of criminal structures of Serbs and Albanians in Kosovo. She pointed out that then she will be more than happy to join the criticism of those who cover this and make profit out of it.

Đorđe Vukadinović asked what program four Serb media have in Kosovo, funded by the Office, and whether in their programs there is room for the views of those who oppose the Brussels agreement and the policy of the Government of Serbia, as well as whether it is true that some of them have 350 people on the payroll.

The deputies remained with no answers by the office for KiM.
