Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija Marko Đurić said that the formation of security forces of Kosovo will not happen, as announced by Hashim Thaçi, and stated that it was an undoubted diplomatic success of Serbia.
Đurić recalled on the statement of Stoltenberg in which he opposed the way of establishing of armed forces of Kosovo and which directed Pristina to the continuation of the talks with Belgrade.
He said that diplomatic success “did not fall from the sky” and that Serbia uniquely lobbied for its interests.
– It is a product of a serious and thorough work to explain our attitudes not only to the countries on whose support we could count in the most difficult moments – the Russian Federation, China, but also the countries of the NATO alliance and the NATO Secretary General – Đurić said.
Đurić added that Belgrade will continue to fight against the formation of the army of Kosovo, because it poses a threat and the threat to peace and stability in the whole region, as well as the unarmed Serbian population.
