Kosovo’s Justice Minister, Dhurata Hoxha, said that the issue of properties in the territory of Kosovo will not be part of the Brussels dialogue with Serbia and that the decision to transfer former Yugoslav assets to Kosovo relevant institutions is the same with those of other federal units of the former Yugoslav republic. “We have full independence and sovereignty on assets in the territory of the Republic of Kosovo and we don’t need to discuss them with anyone. It is an issue that we as a state decide on our own,” Hoxha said. Deputy Prime Minister and initiator of the decision, Ramiz Kelmendi, said the move should have been taken the day Kosovo declared independence. However, Serb officials have called the decision unlawful. Head of Serbian Government’s Office for Kosovo, Marko Djuric, said he will request from the Serbian Government to annul the decision of Pristina authorities.
