Website of the Ministry of the Interior in Serbia announced that yesterday Police Director Vladimir Rebić met with Interpol Secretary General Jurgen Stoke in Lion. The Ministry stated that Rebić has cited Serbia’s reasons against the Kosovo’s request for membership in the organization.

”The meeting discussed this request and we have made clear reasons for opposition to it, bearing in mind the UN Security Council Resolution 1244 and the fact that Brussels dialogue is in progress, which even in one point does not consider the issue of access of the so-called Kosovo to the Interpol,” stressed Rebić.

Director of Police said that the Republic of Serbia was entitled to expect active support of international actors in order to find adequate solutions in the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, stated the ministry.
