Kosovo MP’s Move to Cut Jail Terms Slated (Balkan Insight)

An amendment by a ruling party MP cut prison terms by a third has drawn a good deal of adverse comment from politicians, experts and international representatives in Pristina.

An MP from the ruling Democratic Party of Kosovo, PDK, Nait Hasani, has been criticized for proposing an amendment that would cut prison sentences by a third, by counting 24 hours spent in prison as 36 hours of sentence.
