French Court postpones decision on Haradinaj

The AAK leader, Ramush Haradinaj, will continue to remain in France until the end of this month. This will happen because French Court has postponed the decision on Haradinaj until 27 April.

In the trial session that lasted for several hours, Prosecution presented arguments with which it claims that Haradinaj has pushed people to murder a number of Roma in the latest war in Kosovo.

These statements have triggered reaction of Haradinaj’s defence, which refuted all these allegations.

In the meantime, the AAK leader qualified this as Serbian propaganda which, according to him, French judiciary believes.

Haradinaj reconfirms AAK’s strong opposition for Demarcation

(RTK1)

In an exclusive interview with RTK1 from France, the AAK chairperson Ramush Haradinaj once again confirmed that AAK will strongly oppose ratification of the Agreement on Border Demarcation with Montenegro. But, Haradinaj emphasized that his political entity will support establishment of Kosovo Armed Force.

“It is lamentable that they kept Demarcation issue alive and wasted two years of Kosovo and its citizens. They could have rejected it long time ago and now we would enjoy visa liberalisation, in case this is an obstacle to visa liberalisation, but it seems it’s not.  It would be something tragic and unforgivable if MPs would vote this harmful and wrong version of Demarcation,” Haradinaj said. He stressed that there is nothing that could change AAK’s stance against the current version of Demarcation.

“All our neighbours, Serbia, Montenegro, and others, have taken our land in the past. Now the time came that nobody can take anything from Albanians, nor give anything Albanian to the neighbours,” Haradinaj stressed.

He expressed his confidence that Demarcation will not be ratified at the Assembly, because, as he said, Kosovo has MPs with integrity from both the opposition and ruling parties, who will vote against it.

Haradinaj considers that establishment of Kosovo Armed Forces (KAF) could have been concluded long time ago.

“Army is a necessity for Kosovo. If this issue comes to the Assembly, I have urged my AAK MP colleagues to strongly support and vote it,” Haradinaj concluded.

On the other hand, Kosovo Prime Minister Isa Mustafa stated on Thursday that the Government will submit Border Demarcation Agreement with Montenegro to the Assembly this month. “This is an obligation that we need to fulfil sooner or later,” Mustafa said.

Additionally, he told RTK ‘Debate’ show that Haradinaj has no right to dictate from France how MPs in Kosovo should vote.

Clashes and tensions between Srpska List members at Assembly of Kosovo

(All monitored broadcasters, KTV)

Divisions in Srpska List have surfaced. The meeting of representatives of this political entity, which was held at the Assembly of Kosovo, was followed with tensions, insults and accusations between them.

Slobodan Petrovic reacted against the Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo from Srpska List, Branimir Stojanovic, and Head of this List Slavko Simic, because Petrovic was not invited at all to this meeting.

“Who are you…; you are the biggest disgrace of Serbian people. Good-bye, it means that you are not invited here,” Petrovic told Simic.

On the other hand, Simic and Stojanovic requested from Petrovic to leave the room and go out.

“You and Jablanovic are playing games; therefore, either sit or get out,” Simic told MP Petrovic.

Petrovic once again addressed accusations against them: “You have come out of the envelope and you do not have votes of the people. When you get the votes then come here.”

He also reacted against the security members in the room. After this, Stojanovic requested media to leave the room.

In a press announcement Srpska List said that Slavko Simic is the Head of Srpska List, and not the self-declared Aleksandar Jablanovic.

On the other hand, Central Elections Commission chairperson Valdete Daka said that CEC does not have any competency to decide who the Head of Srpska List is, underlining that these are internal issues of this List, RTK1 reported.

Djuric: Serbia supports Simic as Srpska List representative

(RTK2)

Director of Serbian Office for Kosovo, Marko Djuric, said that representatives of Srpska List, respectively Slavko Simic, is the legitimate elected representative of the Serb community in Kosovo. He emphasized that Serbian Government and all parties are unified in their support to Kosovo Serb representatives.

“The Republic of Serbia, the Government and people firmly stand by our people in Kosovo. For Serbia, legitimate representatives of the Serb people in Kosovo are in Srpska List, and Slavko Simic is the Srpska List representative in Kosovo,” Djuric said.

Jablanovic does not admit insulting Gjakovë/Djakovica mothers

(KTV)

Aleksandar Jablanovic, who claims he is again the Head of Srpska List, said that Srpska List performed its duties best when it listened to the Serbian Government, while he called on Kosovo opposition not to deal with Srpska List matters.

In an interview with Tribuna Channel, Jablanovic said he has never left Srpska List as he was its founder at the Central Elections Commission, KTV portal reported.

“I am the founder of Srpska List and it is not a political party, but a group of Serb political parties, which was established for a unity of Serb parties,” he said.

Regarding the opposition’s protest against his insult for Gjakovë/Djakovica mothers, Jablanovic said that opposition are not only against him, but against all.

Asked if he will apologize to Gjakovë/Djakovica mothers, Jablanovic said that he has never said anything about them.

“In my statement I have condemned a vandal issue of Vetëvendosje Movement,” he said.

Sixty-three Serb houses in Vushtrri/Vucitrn empty since 2003

(KTV)

Sixty-three houses were built for Serb community in the villages of Maxhunaj, Sllatinë and Dolak of Vushtrri/Vucitrn municipality, but since 2003, when their reconstruction started, these houses have been left empty.

Serbs requested reconstruction of houses, but they never returned to live in them, KTV reported. Although these houses were built for Serbs, they never returned with justification that they feel threatened by their neighbours.

According to officials of this municipality, their only aim was to benefit in the material aspect.

On the other hand, Behxhet Shala of the Council for Defence of Human Rights and Freedoms (CDHRF), who was also part of the international and Government’s initiative for return of Serbs to Kosovo, said that this was a failed policy.  He says that Serbs were not asked at all if they needed these houses.

According to Shala, the internationals did inequalities with these constructions, since they should have been done based on person’s needs, and not based on community needs.

“Internationals had a discriminative approach in the sense that they got engaged only for the Serbs, and not for Roma or Albanians. Return of Albanians in the north was a taboo topic after the cleansing that happened at the end of 2000. That is why we have an inequality. The Ministry for Communities and Return acted the same way. It has always run by the Serbs,” Shala underlined.

TV Arta tried to get a response from the Ministry for Communities and Return about this issue, but this was not possible.

Assembly is not managing to control Government

(Klan Kosova)

Members of the Assembly of Kosovo are not managing to perform one of the main duties they have. They are not managing to control the Government, which is their constitutional duty.

This fact has been concluded by the Ombudsperson in his report when he speaks about this institution.

According to Ombudsperson Hilmi Jashari, lack of this control might also cause non-implementation of law.

Furthermore, the report that the Ombudsperson has issued says that non-implementation of laws remains a widespread problem in the country.

In his report, the Ombudsperson has also addressed criticism regarding the quality of laws since 65 per cent of laws treated by the Assembly over the past year were amendments.
