German Foreign Minister Sigmar Gabriel said on the eve of his visit to Belgrade that his country supports dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia. Gabriel said for the European Union it is important for the process of negotiations for Serbia’s membership of the EU and the normalization of relations between Kosovo and Serbia to happen at the same time. “Progress has been achieved in several areas, such as freedom of travel, the mutual recognition of diplomas and recently in the area of the telecom. Much more remains to be done, especially with regards to the formation of the Association/Community of Serb-majority municipalities. This is why dialogue must resume very soon,” Gabriel said.
