Faton Abdullahu, advisor to Kosovo Prime Minister Isa Mustafa, said today that early parliamentary elections and the election of a new government will not resolve the issue of the border demarcation with Montenegro. Abdullahu wrote on his Facebook account: “It is easier to form one government after another than to establish a borderline in agreement between us and Montenegro. Early elections can result in a new government, but disagreements over demarcation will most probably get worse. Early elections and the formation of a new government in Kosovo, which would not work on demarcation as the current government does, could turn what is a now an internal problem into an inter-state and regional problem. This would result in the further isolation of Kosovo and its citizens, because the EU requirement for visa liberalization will not be met.”
