During Tuesday he had many meetings with Members of Kosovo Assembly and in these meetings, the U.S. Ambassador Greg Delawie made it clear that the U.S. State Department has carefully looked into the Agreement on Demarcation with Montenegro, KTV reported.

In an exclusive interview with KTV, Ambassador Greg Delawie said he met with MPs of different political parties in Kosovo.

Delawie added that he requested from Government officials to immediately submit Draft Agreement to the Assembly and on MPs to vote it straightaway.

According to the Ambassador, Agreement on Demarcation is not one of the difficult decisions that Kosovo will need to take in its path toward Europe, since the Agreement is accurate as such.

During the day, the U.S. Ambassador was also part of several meetings with MPs to persuade them to vote current version of the Agreement on Delineation of the Border with Montenegro.

On Tuesday afternoon, Delawie invited PDK MPs who are opposing Demarcation with Montenegro to the U.S. Embassy offices. MP Shaip Muja told Ambassador Delawie that he does not guarantee him that the will vote Demarcation, while he told media that he has not changed his stance.

KTV reported that Nait Hasani of PDK, Labinotë Demi-Murtezi of Justice Party, and Raif Qela of Movement for Unification, were also invited for consultations a day prior to the voting on Demarcation by the Ambassador Greg Delawie.

Veseli: Demarcation prior to no confidence motion

(KTV& RTK1)

Speaker of Kosovo Assembly, Kadri Veseli, had a telephone conversation with the U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State, Hoyt Brian Yee, with whom he discussed latest developments in Kosovo.

During this telephone conversation, Speaker Veseli spoke with the US diplomat regarding the lack of important decisions that were supposed to be taken until now in coordination with the international friends.

Speaker Veseli also spoke with the U.S. diplomat Hoyt Yee about the clear request of United States for the Government and Assembly to proceed with Demarcation on Wednesday prior to the Government’s no confidence motion. In case on non-proceeding the Demarcation prior to the motion against Government, it must be moved forward with other solutions, a press release issued states.

On the other hand, LDK Presidency Member Lutfi Haziri said that there will be only one point on Wednesday’s agenda of Kosovo’s Assembly, the one on no confidence motion against Government which was initiated by opposition parties.

He told KTV Interactive that LDK is unified and it will prove this on Wednesday by voting to continue government agreement with PDK.

Mustafa: No elections in June

(RTK1)

In an exclusive interview with the Kosovo public broadcaster (RTK), Prime Minister of Kosovo and LDK Chairperson Isa Mustafa said the party he leads does not want to have elections in June. He emphasized that LDK is not interested to invite citizens in campaigns and elections during the month of Ramadan, taking into consideration that a big number of Kosovo Muslims fast during the Holy month of Ramadan.

“We do not agree to have elections in June during the month of Ramadan, because we have Muslims who fast and we cannot invite them to electoral campaigns and to vote. We strongly are against this,” PM Mustafa told RTK.

Mustafa also commented PDK’s potential support to the opposition’s no-confidence motion.

“This Government is not only LDK’s but also PDK’s and I do not see any logical reason for PDK to support the motion which accuses ministers of failures. PDK might have other stances compared to LDK because, although we are partners, as political parties we aim to implement our own goals. If PDK thinks they rushed with this coalition and believe that we should enter early elections, then they might take unilateral actions,” Mustafa said.

He also spoke about Tuesday’s meeting with the U.S. Ambassador, Greg Delawie, where the latter informed MPs that the U.S. is convinced that the Border Demarcation with Montenegro is fair.

PDK without clear stance on opposition’s no confidence motion

(TV21&Klan Kosova)

Democratic Party of Kosovo still does not have a clear stance regarding the no confidence motion for Government proposed by the opposition, which will be put to voting on Wednesday.

Senior PDK official, Xhavit Halitaj, said that MPs of this political party will act based on decision that the party will take.

On the other hand, initiators of the no confidence motion against Kosovo Government, Nisma për Kosovën, are certain that they will have the necessary votes for overthrowing the Government on Wednesday.

Vetëvendosje Movement, which has the biggest number of opposition MPs, will also support overthrowing of Isa Mustafa Government. It is likely that VV will fire teargas again at the Assembly in case the Agreement on Demarcation of the Border with Montenegro will be put to voting in the Assembly. Furthermore, this political entity held a mobilizing meeting on Monday with its members.

On the other hand, Nisma për Kosovën and AAK will oppose the Agreement on Demarcation with Montenegro only with their vote.

Portals reported that the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) is expected to have two meetings on Wednesday prior to the Assembly session on no-confidence motion.

KTV learned that PDK General Council will convene at 08:00hrs, while an hour later, the PDK caucus will hold its meeting.

Ymeri: Vetëvendosje’s stance on Demarcation unchanged

(Summary of KTV Rubicon show)

Vetëvendosje Movement chairman, Visar Ymeri, compared the character of Assembly Speaker and PDK chairman, Kadri Veseli, with the one of Marlon Brando in the role of Vito Corleone. “Kadri Veseli is typically a mafioso in politics,” Ymeri said during a longer interview with KTV Rubicon show.

According to him, Veseli controls the state apparatus. Ymeri considers the political party headed by Kadri Veseli, which is currently in governing coalition, as the main problem for the current situation of Kosovo.

VV chairman, Visar Ymeri, said that EULEX Mission does not help justice in the country. According to him, the Special Court will also do the same. He believes that justice cannot come from outside.

Asked by the show moderator about the pre-election coalitions, Ymeri responded: “We are having talks with AKR and other entities.”  He stressed that they had talks with political entities that are part of the current legislation.

Ymeri did not rule out cooperation with AAK after elections. He also said that Vetëvendosje Movement accepts a post-electoral cooperation with LDK, as well. However, according to him, this can happen only with a reformed LDK and not with Isa Mustafa.

Ymeri confirmed that former leader of Vetëvendosje, Albin Kurti, is expected to take part on Wednesday’s session of the Assembly on no confidence motion against the Government, despite the arrest warrant for him issued by the Kosovo Police.

He also explained Wednesday’s scenario in opposing the Demarcation. Ymeri said that it will be protested against the Agreement on Demarcation, stressing that stance of his political entity regarding this Agreement remains unchanged.

VV chairman considers submission of the Agreement of Demarcation for ratification in the Assembly of Kosovo as criminal persistence. Despite the support that this Agreement by the United States, according to Ymeri, it is openly opposed by Vetëvendosje and that its position cannot be changed. Vetëvendosje Movement stands behind its stance that current Agreement on Demarcation with Montenegro is harmful and dangerous, he underlined.

He considers that Agreement on Demarcation can be renegotiated with Montenegro. In KTV Rubicon show Ymeri proposed this renegotiation to be done on the points that there are disagreements about. He also proposed making an institutional pledge between the two countries for this issue to be solved in peaceful manner.

Ymeri said that VV still has not decided who it will propose for Prime Minister’s post and, according to him; this will also depend on the moment that elections will be called. He said that Albin Kurti might be the candidate for this post, but he did not deny that he can also be a potential candidate for this post.
