Vetevendosje leader Visar Ymeri confirmed today that over the last two days they received many requests for a pre-coalition agreement with the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) but that the latter was not interested to fight what he called the Pronto clan. Ymeri said LDK leaders were interested in an agreement with Vetevendosje according to which the two parties would not attack each other. “Within a two-day period, we received public and private requests for an agreement. An agreement would have been possible if we would have focused on removing the Pronto clan. But they [LDK] were more interested in us not attacking one another. They were interested in saving the LDK and not Kosovo. Following the elections, we will have a new political reality. Vetevendosje is the only political party with the skills and program to change Kosovo. For us it is important to punish the ruling politicians with votes,” Ymeri said. He also confirmed that Albin Kurti will be Vetevendosje’s candidate for Prime Minister in the June early elections.
