The recognition of Kosovo by the five Member States (Spain, Slovakia, Romania, Greece and Cipro) that do not recognise it, would “increase the EU’s credibility in its own external policy”, and “be beneficial to the normalisation of relations between Kosovo and Serbia”, where “more engagement” is needed, the European Parliament says in a resolution passed by 474 votes to 134, with 64 abstentions.
