Vetevendosje senior member, Albulena Haxhiu, said today that her party’s invitation to the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) for consultations to form a new government remains open. “We believe that our meeting should have taken place immediately after the certification of results, but as the LDK has decided to wait for the certified results, we expect the meeting to happen immediately afterwards. The LDK should give its contribution for sending the PDK into the opposition and we expect it will act in accordance with the new circumstances,” she said. Haxhiu also said that after the counting of conditional votes and votes from the diaspora, Vetevendosje now has 32 seats in Parliament. “We have doubled the number of MPs for the new legislative. This is the will of the people from the 11 June elections and no one can deny this will,” Haxhiu added.
