Representatives of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), New Kosovo Alliance (AKR) and Alternative, which make up the LAA coalition, are categorical in their position that none of their MPs will cooperate with the PDK-AAK-NISMA coalition in forming a new government. LDK deputy leader Lutfi Haziri told the paper today that none of the 29 LDK MPs will support Ramush Haradinaj’s candidacy for Prime Minister. AKR MP, Korab Sejdiu, too said that MPs from the LAA coalition would not vote in favor of Haradinaj. “According to the information I have, none of our MPs will support them. They [the PAN coalition] can claim to have enough votes to form a new government but they should say how they have secured these votes,” he said. Sejdiu also argued against statements made by PAN representatives who said that if they fail to form a new government, Kosovo should go to new elections. “This is an absurd interpretation. If PAN cannot form a government, the mandate to do so should be given to the second biggest party,” he added.
