The German Ambassador in Kosovo, Angelika Viets, says that internationals do not want to get involved on creation of the new government.
She says however that they only want to remind Kosovo politicians to resolve this matter with great responsibility, being that Kosovo has major problems, which are at the same time major challenges.
On the second part of the interview given to Zeri, Viets said that except for the demarcation of the border with Montenegro , fighting of organized crime and corruption remains among the criteria for visa liberalization. She said that there are other steps within the fighting of corruption and organized crime that should be undertaken and among them is confiscation of property gained in an illegal manner.
Speaking about President Thaci’s involvement in the dialogue with Serbia, Viets said that any format of dialogue which leads to the normalization of the relations between the two countries is welcomed, as long as representatives who dialogue have a mandate to do so. “In this case, I think that the President has a mandate to dialogue in the sense of normalization of relations,” Viets said.
