PAN coalition’s candidate for prime minister and leader of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), Ramush Haradinaj, announced today that he has received the support from the family of late President of Kosovo, Ibrahim Rugova, for forming the new government of Kosovo.
“Kosovo’s newest history is that of unity and trust among the people, result of war, sacrifice, understanding, and tolerance. This national strategy was pursued by President Ibrahim Rugova to build the state and government of Kosovo”, said Haradinaj after visiting Rugova’s residence in Pristina.
“As a nominee for prime minister of the Republic of Kosovo, I am happy to accept the support of the emblematic family of President Rugova and commit to do everything to preserve values and teachings of President Rugova for maintaining permanent friendship with the U.S., EU and NATO”, Haradinaj said. He went on to call on “all those embracing President Rugova’s ideas, especially the leader of LDK Isa Mustafa and that of AKR Behgjet Pacolli”, to support the formation of the new government and speed up Kosovo’s integration agenda.
