Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic says his proposal about “delineation” in Kosovo will eliminate “the causes of war” between Serbs and Albanians.
He reiterated that Serbia will “never recognize the unilateral independence of Kosovo.”
“I am trying to propose a lasting solution because it is based on a compromise between historical and ethnic rights, that implies a delineation of what is Serb and what is Albanian,” Dacic told RTS.
He said that by his proposal, Serbia and the Serbs “get something – because it is about delineation, not partition.”
“There is a possibility of a permanent settlement – and in those places where the Serbs live, that will never be an independent Kosovo. It could, with tanks,” Dacic said.
He said that there was no permanent solution for Kosovo without an agreement with Serbia and added that Kosovo would never become a member of the UN.
