Registration of political entities for local elections in Kosovo, to be held on October 22, will expire at midnight tomorrow.

The Central Election Commission says that Serbian political subjects have not yet submitted their lists, but it is quite certain that each of them will be participating alone.

President of the Serbian List Goran Rakić claims that the recent parliamentary elections have shown that the Serbs in Kosovo “believe them the most”.

“We make all decisions in consultations with Belgrade, and above all with our people, because they are the ones we represent and whose problems we have to solve,” Rakić said.

And Independent Liberal Party (SLS) of Slobodan Petrović, the Progressive Democratic Party (PDS) Nenad Rašić, as well as the CI SDP Oliver Ivanović announce an independent participation in the elections.

Daily Novosti reported that in the race for the mayor of North Mitrovica, besides Rakić, will be Oliver Ivanović, and according to unofficial information, the candidate for the mayor of Gračanica/Graqanicë will be Srđan Popović in front of the Serbian list, and the municipality of Štrpce/Shtërpcë, Bratislav Nikolić, who has so far performed the function.

The voter registration outside Kosovo is in progress, which lasts until August 23.
