Deputy Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija Dušan Kozarev today assesses in a press release that Pristina’s main negotiator Edita Tahiri has done everything in the current course of dialogue with Belgrade that conversations take place in a toxic atmosphere of insults and constant provocations instead they lead towards the reconciliation, TV Most reported.
– This unilateral manoeuvre of Edita Tahiri, although on our part did not usually come across a reciprocal answer, negatively influenced the atmosphere in the relations between the Serbs and Albanians, and contributed to the loss of the valuable time that the two peoples could spend on genuine reconciliation and progress towards cooperation – Kozarev said.
He emphasizes that Tahiri continued to express national impassion in her comments, probably because of the fact that as a negotiator she was completely inefficient and did not realize her proclaimed goals.
Kozarev also says that the ability to engage in internal dialogue is one of the criteria of democratic development and an indicator of the strength of one society.
