Haradinaj: Discussions with coalition partners at final stage

Last week he announced failure of the Assembly session before it happened, whereas on Monday the PAN coalition’s nominee for Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj announced that the session would resume at the end of the week or at the beginning of next week at latest.

 

The AAK leader said that discussions with other coalition partners were at the final stage   .

 

Haradinaj said that the Constitutional Court has made the decision on who should the Assembly Speaker belong to; therefore, all parties should contribute in constituting the Assembly, because, according to him, this is not an obligation of PAN only   .

 

Haradinaj also mentioned the losses and consequences that Kosovo suffers being without functional institutions.

 

However, the LDK leader Isa Mustafa, who at the same time is Caretaker Prime Minister, said that LDK would not agree to join an inclusive government.

 

Talking about discussions between LDK and VV, Mustafa announced that discussions on big issues would start in the coming days.

 

He said that if they find a common language, they will proceed; otherwise, LDK remains in opposition.

 

VV officials did not speak about the meetings with LDK, despite the enquiry by KTV.

 

Pacolli denies to have reached coalition with PAN

The AKR leader Behgjet Pacolli indirectly denied the news posted by some portals that AKR had reached a government coalition agreement with PAN.

 

Pacolli stated that he was in Switzerland today.

 

Serb suspect of war crimes arrested

The suspect B. M., a Serb who until now was on the lam, was arrested on Monday about 12:00, at the entrance of highway in Reshtan, Suharekë/Suva Reka.

 

The 74-year-old suspect was arrested upon the order of the Kosovo’s Special Prosecutor’s Office, under the accusation of serious crimes and war crimes.

 

According to Serbian media, he was taken out of the group of Serbs who went to visit their houses in Mushtisht, Suharekë/Suva Reka.

 

Director of the so-called Office for Kosovo in Serbia’s Government Marko Djuric reacted to the arrest. He said that the arrest was a continuation of the ethnic cleansing policy against Serb people.

 

Deliu-Kodra confirms, then cancels participation in Interactive

PDK MP Blerta Deliu- Kodra on Monday staged a press conference with PDK vice chairman Uran Ismajli.

 

Two hours after the assault against the wife of Minister of Economic Development Blerand Stavileci, they stated that perpetrators were criminals of VV.

 

On Monday afternoon, Deliu- Kodra was invited to KTV’s Interactive show, to talk further about the event and the allegations.

 

After thinking for several hours and after accepting the invitation, she cancelled her participation around 21:00.

 

None of four Brussels agreements implemented

(KTV)

 

Serbia is blocking implementation of the agreements reached in Brussels, Caretaker Minister for Dialogue Edita Tahiri says. According to her, the Agreement on |Justice has not started to be implemented, since Serbia has not stopped paying salaries to the illegal structures in north Mitrovica/Mitrovicë.

 

Minister Tahiri said that President Thaçi will not decree judges and prosecutors, as long as Serbia does not cease paying salaries to those structures, KTV reported.

 

Ehat Miftaraj, a lawyer of the Kosovo Law Institute, says that non-implementation of the Agreement on Justice brings about big consequences.

 

Vigan Qorrolli, university professor, says that the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue was not serious from the very beginning, and consequently, the agreement is not being enforced.

 

KTV requested a reply also from the Media Office of the EU Senior Representative Federica Mogherini, but the spokesperson Maja Kocianqiq did not answer.

 

Agreement on Justice between Kosovo and Serbia was reached in December 2016 in Brussels. The agreement was supposed to start being implemented on 10th January 2017.

 

Serbia boycotting dialogue with Albanians in Presevo Valley

Head of the National Council Jonuz Musliu accused Serbian Government of boycotting a dialogue with Albanians in Presevo Valley, regardless the fact that it has accepted the seven-point platform on accomplishment of basic rights of Albanians in this area.

 

In September, Albanian political representatives will present a report on the situation of their rights before the so-called group, Friends of the Valley, which comprises ambassadors of the EU Member States, and the Ambassador of the United States. According to Shaip Kamberi, mayor of Bujanovac, this opportunity will be used to urge the International Community to be more active in Presevo Valley and to impose on Serbian Government officials to start a new dialogue with Albanians in this area.

 

The dialogue between Albanian representatives of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedje and Serbian Government officials, facilitated by the OSCE, resulted in acceptance of a seven-point platform by Serbian Government officials; however, its implementation has never started.
