Srpska Lista (SL) said today that yesterday’s protest in Vitina, held with the aim of a political promotion of anonymous individuals before local elections, brought to light, as SL said it, unthinkable and unprofessional behaviour of the TV RTK2 journalists, which as SL said it, was directed against Srpska Lista, Serbian media reported.
Srpska Lista further said it was forced to react in order to protect the truth from fabricated lies. Srpska Lista came into possession of a material recorded during yesterday’s politically motivated gathering in the front of the provisional bodies of the Vitina municipality. The recording was made during the protest where RTK2 journalists suggest to one of the interviewed protestors to attack Srpska Lista by holding the paper from which he reads the text that as a basis had a political attack on Srpska Lista.
The SL press statement further reads that this is a scandalous behaviour by those who must stay out of any politics and “therefore requests from RTK2 leadership to take up responsibility and submit resignation over political acts of its employees”.
SL also called upon journalists’ association to raise their voices against such unprofessional behavior that is misusing the role of journalists, who should inform citizens in an objective and truthful manner, and not to lead campaigns of some anonymous persons, the Srpska Lista statement concluded, Serbian media reported.
