Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dačić says that he did not approach the US President Donald Trump in New York without being invited, regional N1 reports.
N1 reports that Dačić in his statement to the Alo daily explains the circumstances that led to the conversation with Tramp, which has raised a lot of dust in public.
– I did not come to him without being invited, does anyone really think that’s possible, he called me. I mean, it is great news that the President of the United States with enthusiasm accepted the invitation to come to Belgrade. This will mean a lot for our relations and that the Serbs finally begin to see the US with new eyes, Dačić said.
He also revealed what he told Trump when he approached him in the UN.
-I told him that the Serbs love him and that he will be welcomed with enthusiasm. Remember only the euphoria in Serbia when he won. He is my old friend, and in New York he wrote a new contact for further communication. I am an optimist when in question is our relationship with America, Dačić said.
