Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development Nenad Rikalo met with the Director of the World Bank Office in Kosovo, Marco Mantovanelli, with whom he discussed the current processes in the development of agriculture, as well as the goals of the ministry in order to further strengthen this sector.
As announced by the Ministry, Rikalo thanked the World Bank for its support to the agricultural sector that given concrete and significant results.
The meeting discussed the priorities for the further development of this Ministry and the investments that are planned under the next Agricultural and Rural Development Program.
“Expressing readiness for deepening of the cooperation, Minister Rikalo stressed the need for cooperation with the World Bank in order to expand it to different agricultural areas, by which an impact is made on increasing production and motivating people to deal with agriculture,” the ministry said in a statement.
World Bank Director for Kosovo Marco Mantovanelli congratulated Minister Rikalo on his new duty and expressed his willingness to expand the realization of various projects for further improvement of agriculture.
