Creation of the Association of the Serb-majority Municipalities continues to be the major request of Kosovo Serbs. Furthermore, they consider that the Association should be created within a very short period.
Kosovo’s Deputy Prime Minister, Dalibor Jevtic, stated on Monday that there are no more justifications for delays. He said that now is the time to create the Association as agreed by the parties in Brussels.
Indeksonline contacted Halil Matoshi, Director of the Information Office at Haradinaj’s government, who said that the government has not made any decision on the time of the creation of the Association.
“I cannot predict the time, however no matter when this happens, all actions will be in accordance with the Law and the Constitution of Kosovo as well as in accordance with the decision of the Constitutional Court of Kosovo,” Matoshi said.
A few days ago, head of the EU Office for Kosovo, Natalyia Apostolova stated that Kosovo institutions should establish the Association of the Serb-majority Municipalities in accordance with Kosovo laws and that the institution will not be a parallel structure in Kosovo. She also encouraged institutional leaders to create the Association.
