Kosovo’s Foreign Minister, Behxhet Pacolli, told Belgrade-based Blic newspaper that the right solution for relations between Kosovo and Serbia is mutual respect, building cooperation opportunities and accepting the reality that there are two countries that need to build the future of their respective people. “I think Serbia can play a constructive role and become a stability factor in the region … Serbs are a good people but those that have committed crimes must face justice,” he said. Commenting on Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic’s initiative for internal dialogue on Kosovo, Pacolli said that was a courageous step. “I think Serbia should not remain a hostage of the past. It needs to accept reality. Kosovo is a state now recognized by the majority of democratic countries”.
